December Is National Drunk and Drugged Driving Awareness Month
December 10, 2007
As reported by the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America, last year, nearly one in three high school seniors acknowledged driving after drinking heavily or using drugs or riding in a car whose driver was similarly impaired at least once in the past two weeks.
In recognition of National Drunk and Drugged Driving Awareness Month, the Office of Justice Program's Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) offers access to past Web Forum discussions on Serving Victims of Impaired Driving and Drunk Driving. Other useful resources include the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Impaired Driving Safety Program.
