HAY News Flash Features Dallas Conference

December 19, 2007

The December 2007 issue of the Helping America's Youth News Flash focuses on coverage of the recent Helping America's Youth (HAY) regional conference in Dallas, TX, hosted by First Lady Laura Bush, and a report on Dallas' efforts to combat drugs as “A Community in Action.”

The contributions of Alma Riojas of the Latina organization MANA as “A Caring Adult in Action” are also featured.

HAY is a Presidential initiative to raise awareness about the challenges facing youth and to motivate caring adults to connect with youth in three key areas: family, school, and community.
