National Youth Court Training Program Scheduled for March
March 11, 2009
On March 30-31, 2009, in Cleveland, OH, the Global Issues Resource Center at Cuyahoga Community College will conduct a National Training on Implementing and Enhancing a Local Youth or Teen Court Program.
As an alternative to customary juvenile justice and school disciplinary processes, youth courts hold juvenile offenders accountable for their actions, promote restorative justice, and encourage civic responsibility.
The training is designed for court, education, human service, law enforcement, and other government and nonprofit professionals interested in establishing a youth court program or staff in current programs seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills.
