The Juvenile Court Statistics Databook (JCSDB) provides convenient access to national estimates of the more than 30 million delinquency cases processed by the nation's juvenile courts between 1985 and 2004. With this application, users can view pre-formatted tables describing the demographic characteristics of youth involved in the juvenile justice system and how juvenile courts process these cases. The companion application, Easy Access to Juvenile Court Statistics, provides even more options for performing crosstabular analyses.
Use the Demographic Characteristics tab to view informtion on the age, sex, and race of juveniles involved in delinquency cases detailed by offense, manner of handling, detention status, adjudication, and disposition
Use the Case Processing tab to view trends in how juvenile courts process specific cases, such as aggravated and simple assault cases, for 10 demographic groups.
Use the Detailed Offense tab to view demographic characteristics for specific cases.
